The enriched general curriculum is student-centred and far exceeds MELS requirements. The rich and innovative Jewish studies curriculum ensures that students receive a solid foundation in Jewish religion, tradition, history, and literature. Bialik students rise to these academic challenges, learning how to organize and manage their time for maximum success.
Streaming in five subjects—math, Hebrew, French, Yiddish, and Tanach—enables students to work at their own academic level. This structure enables all students to successfully complete course requirements. Streaming allows for remediation where needed as well as acceleration, so that some students exceed high school requirements with advanced placement courses in such disciplines as math, French, history, and science.
The school day at Bialik consists of five 70-minute periods. The longer periods provide for a student-centred learning environment with time for collaborative as well as individual work. Bialik students are actively engaged in their learning.
