Lay Governance

JPPS-Bialik has a tradition of extraordinarily high level of volunteerism. If you are interested in serving the JPPS-Bialik community in any capacity, there is a committee or activity that would be glad to have your participation. Our priorities are to serve the Mission, to benefit the teachers and students in the classrooms, and to put the good of the whole school first.

Annual GENERAL Meeting

All parents are members of the school Association and entitled to attend and vote at this meeting. Traditionally held in late September, it has two main functions: to vote on the Nominating Committee’s candidates for the Board and Executive and to serve as a regular means of communication between Administration, Board members and general parent body. An annual report is given by all committees and the document is available at the business office one week prior to the meeting. The Annual Meeting is the only regular meeting where the by-laws can be changed.
