JPPS-Bialik’s Advancement Office is responsible for

Development

The office actively develops financial resources so that it may fund the school enhancements and secure its future. The school seeks funds from parents and alumni through annual giving, capital fundraising, named major gifts program including bursaries, scholarships and scholarships, the annual “Concert” Gala and corporate sponsorships to meet short-, medium- and long-term objectives.

Communications

The office is responsible for this website and produces a monthly newsletter for parents and alumni and an annual report. It also handles all media relations.

Marketing

Event sponsorships and advertising opportunities are available to alumni, parents and service providers. This allows JPPS-Bialik to reduce the costs of events such as the Alumni Homecoming or initiatives such as the annual giving campaign and to increase the net revenue of fundraising events. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities will be offered in accordance with JPPS-Bialik’s values.

Mandate

Our mandate is directed by the JPPS-Bialik and Bialik Fundraising Committees and the Public Relations Committee who report to the JPPS-Bialik Board of Directors.

Message from the Director of Advancement

Elizabeth H. Kennell

The JPPS-Bialik Advancement Office facilitates continued enhancement of the school’s facilities, programs and accessibility. Establishing and maintaining contact with the JPPS-Bialik community—including the parents, grandparents, alumni and staff—is key to securing the support required to meet the short-, medium- and long-term objectives of the school. As a result, we send out a parents’ monthly newsletter via e-mail, publish an annual report, and encourage alumni to register on a password-protected online directory. As well, we hold an annual Homecoming event for all alumni, and facilitate class reunions. We are proud of our newly designed website and presence in the media, which allow us to sing from the rooftops the many successes of our students.

With the help of a dedicated group of volunteer parents and alumni, an annual giving campaign provides opportunities to either donate to the school’s own annual priorities or to designate a gift to a special, named fund and, in the course, pay tribute to a loved one. In addition, a volunteer committee organizes an annual gala event for the benefit of the school.
