Concert Gala 2012

What is JPPS-Bialik’s Gala?

Established in 1957 by the Concert Society our JPPS-Bialik Gala serves as the major fundraiser for the school while simultaneously showcasing the talents of our students in a beautiful cocktail party setting. Join us on Sunday March 25th, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.! You will be dazzled by how Bialik’s Helen and Sam Steinberg’s Gymnasium is transformed into a lush lounge setting, complete with fabulous food, auctions, an open wine bar and performances by Bialik Theatre, who will present songs from Moulin Rouge.

Gala 2012 Honoree-Singer/Songwriter Stacey Levy Jackson

A Bialik High School graduate from 1986, Stacey Levy Jackson has been performing since childhood, raising money at the age of 11 for the Jerry Lewis Telethon through a neighborhood variety show she assembled and hosted which led to an invitation to sing on local TV.

While en route to Las Vegas and other American cities, singer/songwriter Stacey Jackson is adding a Montreal stop to her North American tour this spring just for her alma mater! With a well-established profile in the U.K., and now residing in London, she is eager to return to her roots “to show us what she has”! In 2011, Stacey burned up the U.K. Commercial Pop Chart with empowering self-penned up tempo anthem “Live it Up,” which includes a rap from iconic hip-hop pioneer Snoop Dogg. Profits from her first album Upside Down – which produced two chart-toppers -- went to her pet charity Music For Youth.
