Established in 1957 by the Concert Society our JPPS-Bialik Gala serves as the major fundraiser for the school while simultaneously showcasing the talents of our students in a beautiful cocktail party setting. Join us on Sunday March 10th, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.! You will be dazzled by how Bialik’s Helen and Sam Steinberg’s Gymnasium is transformed into a lush lounge setting, complete with fabulous food, auctions, an open wine bar and performances by Bialik Theatre, who will present songs from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
After graduating from Bialik High School in 1981, Mitch attended Vanier College, and then obtained a degree in Industrial Relations from McGill ('86). He went on to earn a law degree at the University of Ottawa ('89).
Mitch Garber was born in Montreal in 1964, to Canadian born parents of Eastern European descent. At the age of 15, he became the owner and operator of the snack bar restaurant at the Hampstead municipal swimming pool, and with the help and bank signature of his mother, ran the business profitably for six years.
