CONGRATULATIONS TO THE JPPS HOOPFEST TEAM

Despite being sleep deprived from a night of pizza and drinks, late night movies and of course the anticipation of the morning that lies ahead.  THE HOOPFEST!!!

JPPS came out early and ready for battle.  We started the battle against DJ Sports.  Who boasted a line up of giants.  JPPS expressed thier concerns, however, DJ sports could not contend with our speed and determination.  We came out victorious with 1point victory.  Then, with no time to rest, we ventured over to the palatial gym for our next match against the home team from LCC.  JPPS played that game like a bunch of wiley veterans, we crashed the boards, made great passes, played exceptional lockdown defense and made game changing shots.  You would have never known that this team never practiced nor played together before, but we sure did have fun winning together.  Finishing 2-0 for the morning CONGRATS TO JPPS!!!!

THE CUP RETURNS HOME!!!!

Recently, the YM-YWHA, the fans were treated to a classic championship game that featured two tremendously spirited teams. HFS, who are new to the league this year, shocked a lot of people and made their way to the championship game against our own JPPS team that had just slipped by Yavne to get to the final.

JPPS was up early after the first half by a score of 15-9. HFS knew that the second half would have to be different if they were to come away with the "WOLVES CUP" The HFS Huskies made a stirring 8-0 run to start the second half to take the lead by 2 and eventually stretched it to 4 with some clutch shooting and free throws. Down the stretch the JPPS PUGS got some key buckets to retake the lead and would eventually hang on to win the game in the final seconds by a final score of 28-27.

The game saw 3 lead changes, knowledgeable plays on both sides and a whole lot of fun with a small dose of pressure. These kids wore their hearts on their sleeves and should be commended for their efforts.
